We went out for a picnic and a hike at Red Rock Canyon, Calico Basin / Red Springs today. It is always so much fun to walk around the meadow oasis created by the spring in the middle of the desert surrounded by the "calico-ed" rocks! The trees and grasses are changing into Autumn gold and orange and there were birds, and chipmunks watching us picnic and dragonfly's buzzing around the water. We also went for a little hike and explored some of the nearby rock formations. It was a nice day!
