We bundled up and went fishing this morning! OK, yes, the high today was probably in the high 50's, but it was still cold in the morning, especially when you're thin-blooded desert dwellers! The kids each have their own fishing poles that are just their size and they have spent days and days practicing casting and reeling at the house! They were so excited for their first fishing trip!
Unfortunately, Siena was the only one who caught anything.

Tyler and Siena got cold and a bit bored so Jason took over the fishing (but the fish just weren't biting at all!) while Kristen and the kids went out exploring!
We had a great time finding trees to climb! Tyler and Siena are getting good!
Sometimes, it was a little hard, and they couldn't quite make it up any higher...
but it was always exciting for everyone when one of them would make it up to a branch they were trying for!
We had a lot of fun just walking around and looking at all of the plants and animals around the lake!
Siena loved running through all the autumn leaves!
Tyler found a white carnation someone had dropped and gave it to his sister - Siena was one happy girl!
And of course, it was really great to watch all of water fowl!
