Easter!

Kristen's Dad, Tyler and Siena's Grandpa Doyle lives in Arizona near Roosevelt Lake, kind of in the middle of no-where. For quite some time, Kristen and her siblings have gone to visit their Dad over Easter weekend and camp out at his place for a few days. Our little family has only gone once since we've been married, because it felt like it was a long hard trip for our little kids. This year, Kristen decided to go for it, and took the kids by herself! Jason decided he needed to stay at home and study for the S.E. (the next professional engineering license that he is taking later this month). Kristen, Tyler, and Siena left Thursday and returned home late Sunday night. It was a long trip in the car, but the kids did pretty well - all things considered. And we all had fun camping and hanging out with everyone! There were too many pictures that we wanted to share, so there are going to be 3 blog posts about our Easter weekend! Kristen wished that she had gotten more pictures, but she stayed pretty busy just keeping up with the kids. Things we didn't get pictures of: Tyler and Siena wading in a creek (they thought is was the coolest thing) and scaring the wild ducks swimming there, any of the 14 hours we were in car, or coloring the hard boiled eggs. We were busy!

This was Siena's first year actually looking for and finding eggs, so she had a good time, even though she wasn't real sure WHY there were colorful eggs everywhere or why she was supposed to be putting them in a basket. She thought is was pretty fun. Tyler is getting to be a great egg hunter and he had a blast this year!
