Yesterday we decided to go out and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather! We drove out to the Red Rock National Park and had a picnic at the Spring Mountain Ranch Park (it's an old ranch that's been converted into a State Park)! The kids think eating on the ground is so much fun! We hiked around the park and through a huge Ash grove - even though all the trees were still bare, it was very pretty! Then we went to Bonnie Springs, Old Nevada. Which is a silly old western tourist-y town. But Tyler LOVES anything and everything COWBOY, so we had to go. And we all had a GREAT time! The cowboys put on shows at Bonnie Springs and the 'Sheriff' even gave Tyler a little tin badge. Tyler got his very own cowboy hat while we were there (he'll probably wear it everyday for the next few months)! What a great day!

Nevada still has so many wild donkeys around - one of these days we're gong to have to take the kids a little further north and try and spot the wild mustangs that still roam around too!

While we were out we also ran into a pretty little herd of feral burros! It was fun to see them out grazing and free!

Tyler LOVES his new cowboy hat so much he wouldn't go to sleep last night without it hanging on the headboard of his bed! However, he did let his little sister try it on for a few minutes!
